Course Map

The Gary Tillman Memorial Clocktower 5K begins on West 3rd Street in front of Barron Stadium parking lot and ends on top of the levee in Heritage Park.  It winds through historic downtown Rome and features two of Rome’s seven hills, climbing Clocktower Hill in the second mile, and circling the base of Myrtle Hill in the third mile.  The course is certified by USA Track & Field. For a downloadable map of the 5K course, click here

The two mile health walk is non-competitive, and follows the same route as the 5K into the historic Between the Rivers neighborhood, but takes a gentler route to the top of Clocktower Hill, rejoins the 5K for a short distance, and then crosses the Oostanaula River on the pedestrian bridge at the Forum, travels along the riverwalk path, and finishes at the gazebo in Heritage Park. For a downloadable map of the 2 mile course, click here
